	I walked to Gas Works Park today. It was so peaceful there! It was a pretty gray day, so there weren't many people around. What a great view of the Seattle skyline and Lake Union.

Since it was sunny I decided to study outside today. I went to the Quad, where the cherry trees are in bloom, and was pleasantly surprised to find it full of activity.

So for a long time I forwent studying and people watched.

Some newlyweds were getting pictures taken, and other relatives, as well as the flower girl were waiting on the sidelines. There was also a really, really cute Chinese family. The girl I presumed to be the older sister patiently walked alongside as her brother learned how to ride her scooter.

I'm not sure what it was, but something about the whole energy of the Quad just captivated me.

Shadows of the Kingdom

The Quad:
It comes alive on weekends--
Strollers, child voices, dogs barking--
Nostalgic domesticity,
Traces of family I miss
In the 'whelming flood of student homogeny.

The cherry trees are in bloom
And adorn with ease
The vibrancy of this campus-turned-neighborhood park.

	Estoy Buscando Summer Job! I am on the prowl for a JOB! I had an interview today with the community center by my house to be a summer day camp counselor. I'm also trying to apply for the YMCA and the Boys & Girls Club. If I get a job, it would be my first EVER! Look out world, here I come! lol.
